-Bioshock Commission- by obsceneblue -Bioshock Commission- by obsceneblue
I spent so many hours on this piece I lost count. I could have worked on it more, there are many unfinished details, but I just can't stand to look at it anymore.

The composition/idea isn't mine, it was the commissioner's idea. It was a fun thing to paint, even if I got really frustrated by my incompetence while making it.

This is so pretty, yet spooky at the same time. The cheery sunlight of Collumbia contrasting with Elizabeth and Bookers silhouettes is wonderful. There's a sense of impending doom, as if Elizabeth is the villain.

Outstanding work. Your attention to detail in the case of the background is rather astounding. The shading and detail on the Lutece's clothing is my favorite minor detail. I can see how you would beat yourself up over some things not turning out 100% realistically but things like the lack of detail on the angel tower etc. give it a distinctly individual touch, which is better than flawless realism sometimes. I hope the commissioner was pleased.
